But would you want to? It is a Renault underneath, so I think it will be okay for the first owner, but I don’t know how these hold up in the long run.

I have no experience with Renault, so I go by what I hear.

Sure a kinda great value but why would anyone want to look like a pizza delivery boy or a cheapskate?

Because you’re getting a nearly new car for £3,500? If it’s cheap you can put up with a lot.

For commuting and shopping it’s quite perfect. Just a basic mode of transportation but that’s about it.

Don’t you watch TG?

James May aside, I’d seriously consider one at that price, let alone in another year or so when it’s down to ~£2k-£2500. You get the benefits of a newish car at a price that mostly only buys stuff that’s >10 years old. The Sandero doesn’t do brilliantly in crash tests, but it does pretty well compared to older cars.

From what I’ve heard they’re reasonably well put together, although used prices suggest all Renaults are still at least seen as a bit unreliable.

I do. But I’d rather get an older car with more personality.

Hey what is the size of a Dacia Sandero? Is it more like a Ford Fiesta or a Ford Focus?

In Canada we get the Nissan Micra as the cheapest car you can buy at $9,999.00 but it is a very small car(smaller than a Fiesta).

From the pictures of the Sandero it looks to be closer to the size of a Focus and is under 10K new. That to me would be a much stronger seller in our market. The Micra is fine if you are single but I can’t see that being too ideal of a car if you have a very young family still in car seats.

I would totally rock a Sandero in fleet white with the black plastic bumpers.

It’s probably the closest thing to a Lada that is made in this current age.

I’m not really sure about size. Wikipedia says it’s Fiesta sized.
